The story
As a kid, I made little iMovies with my friends and wanted to be a YouTuber. One day I picked up my friend’s camera at his baseball game and started taking photos. I kept doing more from there.
The Ice Cube shoot was definitely a highlight. I got to be around people I never thought I’d meet. I also made a free video for Sweets & Meats BBQ, and they hired me for $700 a month. That was a lot of money for something I’d only known as a hobby.

I handle filming, editing, color and delivery, including horizontal and vertical cuts. My web work uses Next.js and Vercel. Booking and contact tools use Supabase and Resend.
The hard part
I was a high school student asking businesses to trust me with their videos. Making a free one helped me get started. After that, I had to make time for filming and editing around school and sports.
What came out of it
I’m not doing as much commercial video work now, and I no longer work with that restaurant. But I got to meet a lot of people, do some really cool shoots, and make money doing something I loved.
